About Checking (Natural Wood Cracks)
Checking is natural in solid wood and log furniture and should be expected. As wood seasons and dries over time, it shrinks and swells at different rates, which can create surface cracks called “checks.” These checks are normal and do not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.
In log furniture, checks typically do not extend beyond the center of the log and may occasionally develop a secondary check. This is part of the authentic character of real wood furniture.
Returns
Returns in original condition are accepted. The purchase price, less original shipping/handling costs and a 20% restocking fee, will be refunded. Notification to Western Passion must be made within 5 days of receipt to obtain a return authorization number. Product must be adequately packed and insured prior to shipping. Customer is responsible for the product and its safe return until received by the manufacturer.
Delivery Information
1. You must be present at the time of delivery.
2. Open and inspect the goods while the freight carrier is on site to identify concealed damage.
3. Do not sign the Bill of Lading until you have inspected for damage. If damaged, refuse delivery and do not sign.
4. Once the Bill of Lading is signed, the manufacturer and Western Passion are not responsible for freight damages; claims must be filed with the carrier.
5. Made in the USA. Typical lead time: ships in 4–6 weeks.
