Western Home: Western Decor: Navajo Inspired Rugs: Navajo Rug Recreations: Traditional Collection Traditional CollectionThe Traditional Collection offers reproductions of exquisite designs woven during the 'Rug Period" (circa 1890-1920) when Navajo weavings were in transition from blankets to rugs. Traders in specific regions of the Navajo Nation began encouraging weavers to produce designs and colors favored by their American and European buyers. These designs, usually far more complex than those of the earlier classic period, began to be known by the Navajo communities weaving them, such as Granado, Chinle, Wide Ruins, Teec Nos Pos, Two Grey Hills, Crystal and others.Call us for additional designs other than those displayed here. | |||||||||
